Point Resources is a mid-sized, independent exploration and production (E&P) company with a diverse portfolio of production, development and exploration assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
In 2017, the combined average production from operated and non-operated fields, net to Point Resources, is expected to be approximately 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. By 2022, the company is expected to grow organically its production to over 80,000 boepd.
Point Resources currently holds approx. 50 licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). Our complete NCS portfolio is illustrated in the NCS Portfolio Map below, and the specific locations of our NCS licenses are highlighted in other maps in following chapters for Production, Development and Exploration.
Our objective is to further build and optimize a diverse portfolio with attractive exploration prospects, capable of delivering robust drill queues, together with high-value development projects, and a mixed production portfolio. These are key contributors to value creation and reserve replacement.
The primary exploration and development strategy is to focus on opportunities in and around existing producing fields and infrastructure. The aim is to combine existing infrastructure and oil and gas discoveries in future fast track tie-in developments. We are also exploring selected areas outside current, established hubs to complement our portfolio with medium risk and high reward exploration targets with stand-alone potential.
