Point Resources is pleased to announce that Pure E&P, Spike Exploration and Core Energy have all been awarded licenses in the 2015 Norwegian APA (Awards in Pre-defined Areas) Licence Round on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The licence awards were announced by the Norwegian Minister of Energy today. Pure E&P has been awarded three licenses, including two operatorships. Core Energy has been awarded five licences, and Spike Exploration has been awarded three licences.

The three companies are preparing to merge and become Point Resources. With eleven licence awards in total, Point Resources is the second largest recipient of new licenses in this annual license round.

The merger of the three companies into Point Resources is expected to close during the first half of 2016, subject to final approval from Norwegian authorities.
